London, ON, June 17, 2020 – As over 100 Habitat ReStore locations across Canada plan to re-open and welcome back their customers, they will be equipped with Health Canada approved sanitizers donated by ZucoraHome.

“ZucoraHome is a proud supporter of Habitat for Humanity Canada and Habitat ReStores across the country. Our employees participate yearly in a home build in London with Habitat Heartland Ontario,” said Brad Geddes, President & CEO, ZucoraHome, “We’re proud to be supporting their safety measures by providing hand sanitizers as they begin to welcome Canadians back to their stores.”

Be a Rainbow Hand Sanitizer

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, ZucoraHome converted its production facility to produce Be a Rainbow Hand Sanitizer as part of its Rainbow Initiative to support community organizations.

As a result, ZucoraHome will supply hundreds of bottles of the product to local Habitat for Humanity organizations for their ReStore locations nationwide.

“The ‘Be a Rainbow’ program is a virtual campaign launched by our employees at the start of the pandemic to inspire hope, generate a positive spirit and to recognize the need in our communities as we get through this difficult period together,” said Geddes. “Our team felt that there was more that we could do, so we shifted our capabilities to produce hand sanitizer to support our community partners.”

Habitat for Humanity ReStores are home and building supply stores that accept and resell quality new and used building materials, furniture, and fixtures. ReStores play an integral part in Habitat’s mission since funds generated are used to support local Habitat for Humanity operations and home building projects. Many local Habitat organizations across Canada had to temporarily close in-person ReStore operations due to COVID-19.
